SQUARE is the private dining table of our founder Iria Degen. In 2003, when she moved into her refurbished 1930s house in Zurich, she was looking for a perfectly proportioned dining table reflecting both the symmetrical floor plan and the size of the dining area. She opted for this 170 x 170 cm square table that can host up to 12 people. The optional rotating lazy suzy in the center lets everyone reach food, drinks or spices easily within an arm’s length – just like in a traditional Asian restaurant where every dish is shared. SQUARE’s beautifully structured ebony surface doesn’t need a tablecloth and its metal criss-crossed pedestal is as minimalistic as sophisticated.
